Miri Ben-Ari, Grammy Award-Winning violinist and “UN Goodwill Ambassador of Music” to the United Nations, made a special guest performance at the United Nations in celebration of Israel’s 70th “Global Impact Through Innovation”. Israel’s Mission to the United Nations and the Ministry of Economy and Industry hosted a special showcase of Israeli technology at the United Nations in honor of Israel’s seventieth anniversary. The event opened with addresses by Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, and Minister of Economy and Industry, Eli Cohen. Participants also heard presentations by representatives of cutting-edge Israeli innovative industries, including Brig. Gen (Res.) Dr. Dani Gold, Head of Israel’s Defense Research and Development Directorate (DDR&D) and the developer of the Iron Dome missiles defense system, and Mr. Ran Maidan, President and CEO, Netafim.
