You may have seen her work in one of her immersive interactive art installation projects that went viral on Instagram or in Ariana Grande’s VMA-nominated video, God is a Woman, which has more than 250 million views. Alexa’s vibrant and colorful work is hard to miss, easy to recognize, and stands out in a crowd. InStyle called Alexa a “Badass Woman”.
Alexa Meade is an artist who turns the traditional notion of art on its head – instead of capturing the real world on a flat canvas, the real world is her canvas. Through detailed, trompe l’oeil brush-work painted directly on humans or objects, Meade transforms the 3-dimensional world into a 2-dimensional one.
While her art has sent her all around the world, Meade is currently making headlines with her upcoming “Immersed in Wonderland” experiential exhibition in NYC. After debuting on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Immersed in Wonderland, is now taking over a sprawling 14,000-square-foot venue in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The Wonderland dreamscape invites people to don hand-painted costumes and travel through the looking glass right into the pages of Lewis Carroll’s timeless tale.
Alexa has created immersive art installations for experiential events and brands around the world including: Artist in Residence for Google, Adidas at Coachella, for Patrón in Los Angeles, and for BASF in Germany and BMW in China.
In corporate event settings her work is customized to incorporate attendees, who have opportunities to photograph themselves within the artwork, and post photos for colleagues and friends through social media outlets. The photographs inevitably go viral on social media platforms, thereby extending the memories and publicity buzz of the event.

Alexa has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors and her groundbreaking work is being written into art history textbooks around the world.
