With a solid background in various styles of music, John Laraio has become one of the foremost innovators in Electronica performance art. After touring with mega group YES and its lead singer John Anderson, he experimented with infrared light to translate motion into sound. His experiments led to his creation, the “Hydra,” the most innovative spatial instrument of its kind. This was followed by the “Singing Crystal,” an interactive musical sculpture that can be played by anyone. John has recently performed in Giza, Egypt with Riverdance and Mariah Carey. With his MOBIUS 8™ persona, Laraio has performed Bon Jovi, Third Eye Blind, Dick Clark, “Video Games Live” on PBS, Stan Lee, Steven Spielberg, Apple, Yahoo, Erickson Technologies, Sony, Nintendo, MGM, IBM, Fuji and for seventeen consecutive shows at Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo.
